Global education requires practice to make progress.

 

With our ever increasingly connected world, both teachers and students can always increase their global competency with practice in the four global standards. Greater understanding of the world will help prepare our students to understand others and their perspectives so they can work together to solve global problems and be prepared to take jobs requiring global skills. These standards, or competencies, are outlined below.

Thinking of how to globalize our NGS standards can seem difficult, but the Global Education competencies fit quite well within the NGS Standards for science units. Attached you will find two elementary science NGS Standards with global education activities listed to serve as examples of how you can globalize any science lesson.
